For over 7 years , I’ve walked alongside families as a doula and childbirth educator, witnessing the raw beauty of birth and the complex systems that surround it. My journey from supporting individual births to mentoring birth workers through doula trainings was born from a simple realization: passion isn't enough to prevent burnout. I wrote this book because I’ve lived the struggle of building a sustainable doula organization while navigating rigid healthcare systems. I’ve made it my mission to teach doulas how to build professional practices that honor their value as much as their heart, ensuring they can stay in this vital work for the long haul.
