Showering Moms with Love, Resources, and Community Support
For the past two years, our Community Baby Shower has brought together families, local organizations, and generous sponsors to celebrate and support growing families. As we prepare for our 3rd Annual Community Baby Shower in 2026, we are excited to create a more intimate, impactful experience for the families we serve—and we invite you to be part of it.
About the Event
Our Community Baby Shower was created to ensure expecting mothers feel seen, supported, and celebrated—especially within communities most impacted by maternal health disparities. Grounded in community doula–centered care, this event prioritizes connection, education, and culturally responsive support.
For the past two years, our Community Baby Shower has brought together families, local organizations, and generous sponsors to uplift growing families across the community. We have proudly served over 100 families through this initiative.
As we prepare for our 3rd Annual Community Baby Shower, we are intentionally creating a more intimate, high-touch experience in 2026:

This is more than a baby shower—it’s a collective act of care rooted in dignity, equity, and community.
Why This Matters
Black mothers continue to face disproportionately high maternal health risks. Our Community Baby Shower exists to help address these disparities by offering holistic, culturally grounded support during pregnancy—while remaining open and welcoming to all families.
This event provides:

Diapers, wipes, clothing, and essential baby supplies

Education and support from community doulas

Referrals to local maternal health and family resources

A safe, affirming space to build community and reduce isolation
Every mom leaves feeling supported, informed, and reminded that she is not alone.
Our Impact
Over the past two years, our Community Baby Shower has made a meaningful difference for families across our community:

🥕 Fresh, seasonal foods provided to support maternal nutrition during pregnancy
🌸 Postpartum pads and care items distributed to help moms prepare for the postpartum journey

Each year, we continue to expand the ways we show up for moms—addressing both immediate needs and long-term wellbeing.
